The Arts Do More Than You Think. Here's the Proof.
Arts education and mentorship are not extras. The research shows they protect young people's mental health and shape the course of their lives.

Ask why a young person should have music, theater, and a mentor in their corner, and most answers land on words like enrichment or opportunity. The research points to something stronger: protection.
Adolescence is one of the most vulnerable stretches of a life, a period when depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem can take hold. Arts education is one of the few tools shown to push back against those outcomes before they start.

The evidence is hard to argue with. Students who take arts classes show stronger attendance and deeper engagement at school. Children who study music tend to read better and score higher on standardized tests. Drama builds reading proficiency, empathy, and self-confidence. And mentorship moves nearly everything else in the right direction: motivation, healthier choices, college aspirations, self-esteem, and behavior at home and at school. Nearly four in five millennials say mentoring was essential to their career success.
This is the reason behind every workshop, coaching session, and mentor match we make. We gathered the research in one place so you can see it for yourself.
