The Lasting Legacy of the '90s Mickey Mouse Club

Thirty years after the cameras stopped, the "All New" Mickey Mouse Club is having a moment again. Ryan Gosling put his old Mouseketeer jacket back on at D23, the clip went everywhere, and a lot of people remembered what plenty of us never forgot: that Disney Channel variety show mattered.

The Disney fan site MickeyBlog just published a warm feature on why. It follows the show from its Orlando soundstage to the careers it launched, and to the friendships that outlasted all of it.

The piece covers real ground. The talent that came through the show, from Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears to Christina Aguilera and dozens of working artists you have watched for years. The bond that still holds the cast together. And how that bond grew into something with a purpose.
