Still Writing, Still Touring, Still Building: Tony Lucca's New YouTube Series
Our board member and mentor Tony Lucca just launched a YouTube series for independent artists — an honest, weekly look at building a creative life that lasts. It's the same truth we teach young artists every day.

Tony Lucca — singer, songwriter, Mouseketeer, and Always In The Club Foundation board member.
There's a moment in almost every artist's life when the plan falls apart. For our board member, mentor, and fellow Mouseketeer Tony Lucca, it arrived after the record deal, the tours, and the television spotlight — and it turned out to be the most clarifying moment of his career. Now he's turning that hard-won perspective into something he can hand to the next generation: a brand-new YouTube series for independent artists.
Thirty Years In, and Still Building
"Thirty years ago I thought making it meant getting signed. Twenty years ago I thought it meant having a hit record," Tony says. "None of it happened the way I planned. And I'm still here — still writing, still touring, still building."
If you've followed his career, you know the highlights: a third-place finish on NBC's The Voice, a record deal, and opening slots for Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson on the Honda Civic Tour. And then the part nobody puts on a highlight reel — the label folded, and the phone went quiet. What Tony did next is the whole reason this channel exists.
Sustainability Isn't a Consolation Prize
The big idea behind the series is one we believe in deeply: sustainability isn't what you settle for when fame doesn't happen — it's the only strategy that actually works. Every week, Tony sits down for honest conversations about the craft of songwriting, the reality of an independent music career, the inner work that sustains both, and the long view that makes all of it worth it.
It's a channel for independent artists building something real and lasting on their own terms. Not the fantasy of overnight success — the actual, repeatable work of a creative life. Or, as Tony puts it: "Not theory. Receipts."
Why This Is So "Always In The Club"
This is exactly the message we were founded on. Always In The Club Foundation exists to mentor young creatives and fund arts education — to make sure the next generation of artists gets the guidance, the honesty, and the community that turns raw talent into a lifelong craft. Tony came up through that pipeline himself, on the "All New" Mickey Mouse Club, and today he sits on our board and shows up for our students in person.
What he offers the whole internet on this channel is the same thing he offers our students behind closed doors: not a shortcut, but a map. The craft. The mindset. The long view. When an eighteen-year-old with a guitar and a dream hears a thirty-year veteran say "still here, still building," that is mentorship doing its quiet, essential work — and it's the work your support makes possible every day.
